Nokia 6030 and T209

Now T-Mobile.com has two phones on sale in its website:

Nokia 6030: 60-30rebate=30, If you buy through the link dealking, that website provide $30 back. I previously bought two phones through dealking, rebates did come, but took about 3 monthes.

the same thing with T209. 80-30-30=20 is the best result.

Both two phones can be unlocked by putting some code.

T-Mobile phoen is better than cingular's, as it give a free handfree kit.

instructions for unlocking Samsung T209 (as well as T309, T809, etc) so that it can be used on Cingular or other networks.

1. Put the non T-Mobile SIM in the phone 2. Turn on the phone. It should display "Wrong SIM" 3. Dial *2767*3855# and WAIT. This will reboot the phone, and the non T-Mobile SIM will work. However, this is only a TEMPORARY unlock. 4. Dial *7465625*638*00000000*00000000# The phone will say that it has been "personalized." 5. Dial #7465625*638*00000000# and the phone will be unlocked PERMANENTLY.

Dial *#7465625# to check the lock status.

Note: It's essential to use another SIM card to unlock, otherwise, the network lock will still be active. I just tried it.

Nokia 6030 phone, below proccedure is for cingular 6030, change certain process when need

Unlocking the Nokia 6030 Note: Nokia 6030 with IMEI starting with 01105200 (type rm-225) can only be unlock by Tmobile. There is no other way to unlock them. Check the label below the battery for type and IMEI. To get the code if you are on T-Mo prepaid, you have to be with them min 90 days AND have added time to your account in the past 30 days. This can be done with a $10 refill or just wait until you need more minutes or service. All you have to do is call T-Mo CS and give them the phone's IMEI number, then they will email you the code with instructions on how to unlock. You might also need a non-T-Mo SIM card to do the unlock, depends on the phone.

Here are the instructions that you need to follow once you've downloaded and installed the NokiaFree v3.10 program.

1) Download the code-generator mentioned above NokiaFREE_v310_Setup

2) Make sure you use these settings in the generator EXACTLY!! Failure to do so will result in phone being unlockable without a cable.

Check 'Expert Mode' under Options Nokia, DCT4(expert) USA, Cingular, 31017000 Asic 2, ONE, 32836

3) Remove the Sim Card from the phone, replace the battery, and power up. phone should tell you that you have to insert a card.

4) Enter *#06# to get the IMEI number after phone powers up.

5) Enter your IMEI code in the corresponding box in the NokiaFree program, and it will generate approximately 8 codes.

6) At the insert card screen on the phone, enter the last code (the one ending in 7) from the NokiaFree program EXACTLY as given, but WITHOUT SPACES. Double check the code before pressing the final # key. If you entered it right, the phone should unlock as soon as you hit the last character of the code.

7) After you unlock, For T-Mobile users to enable T-Zones: Use the T-Mobile Wireless Configurator above and choose "Nokia 6820" It will work for the 6030 as well (Yoshi)

Use the Nokia Dct4 online Calculator. Your IMEI is printed on the label on the back of the phone package (or press *#06# at your phone keyboard with the phone on).

Use the following settings:

Network: USA Tmobile in all areas GEN: ASIC 6 Nokia Model: ASIC 2(the 6030 is not listed).
